The Brand's Journey: A Story to Tell

The Brand's Journey: A Story to Tell

"The past is history, the future is unwritten. The present is a gift, and the magic is in this moment."

The name "Only Lovers Club" draws inspiration from a film by Jim Jarmusch. My initial intention was to dress artists and creatives, inspiring them to express themselves uniquely—whether on stage or in their everyday lives. While not much has changed in that regard, the brand has inevitably undergone many incarnations and reinventions over time. My goal is to bring you a classically inspired collection adorned with whimsical pieces that blend Southern charm with classic Hollywood dreams.

I’m thrilled to introduce the New Southern Sweetheart Collection, which embodies an essence of nostalgia and my obsession with finding collectibles. There’s something magical about discovering treasures from the past, like an '80s metal chain-link belt, a vintage 1960s crushed velvet baby doll mini, or a Western fringe blouse for that rocker chic look. We’re always reinventing ourselves, and that journey is truly beautiful. I envisioned the brand as a place where you could find that one piece you’ve been searching for.

A dear friend once told me, “You’ve got to create art with the love you have for that piece before putting it back into the world.” He was right—while I loved what I did, I realized I needed to express that gratitude in my creations. I had been allowing fear of not being good enough to overshadow my art. This became a unique life lesson about gratitude and appreciating the work I do, as we all know we can be our own worst critics. The clothing brand encompasses everything I love—from classic French New Wave films and vintage classics to my fascination with esoteric mystical arts and the transformative, healing power of music is an enduring source of inspiration. I hope you enjoy the designs as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Much Love,
